Aims
- To create common, modular based approaches to
training at operative, supervisory and management levels.
- To create opportunities for collaboration in
curriculum development and monitoring, training of trainers and
the delivery of training.
Method
- Feasibility studies would be undertaken in each
participating district to identify skills and training needs.
A matrix would then be designed to match identified needs against
currently available training modules.
- Gaps in currently available provision would be
met through the design of new modules by a transnational team
of experts.
- Key trainers from each area would be brought
together to exchange expertise and experience through analysis
of principal themes running through the modules.
- Modules would be delivered to consortia of companies
in each area; detailed monitoring and evaluation would take place
throughout the process.
Outputs
- Auditing of skills and training needs in each
locality.
- Exchange and dissemination of training curricula.
- Training of trainers.
- Delivery of training to companies.
- Evaluation and review of curricula.
