Description: The longest regional open air Shakespeare season in Britain. Performances take place in the gardens of 16th century Tolethorpe Hall near Stamford. Tolethorpe is an ancient site pre-dating the Domesday survey of 1066. The unique covered auditorium protects patrons from summer showers and no performance is ever cancelled. The open air stage is set against a magical glade. The programme consists of King Lear, Much Ado About Nothing, The Taming of the Shrew. With excellent hotels and numerous other attractions nearby, why not enjoy a theatre weekend.
