Document Manager

The Document Manager encompasses the functionality of an on-line filing system, making documents accessible via your website 24hrs a day.  It can be used in a wide range of applications: on-line document distribution system (eg, minutes of meetings), a 24hr virtual research resource for members, library of company brochures, procedures, etc.

Documents can be stored and presented to the site visitor under category headings.  A drop-down menu at the top of the page will allow visitors to view documents by category – facilitating location of relevant material.  All the popular document formats (including MP3, and AVI)can be uploaded and can be viewed on-line or downloaded for local storage. 

It is possible to allocate an archive date beyond which the document is not available as a current document but is accessible by the visitor via an archive function.  This ensures that old and out-of-date documents are automatically transferred to the archive area.

Category definition and the upload of documents are managed via a password controlled administration area.  The site administrator has control over the structure and content of the Document Manager and can view data on the download frequency for each document.
